| Description: |
From Inskip Point, Rainbow Beach is an approximate five minute drive away. Along Rainbow Beach are views of sand cliffs back on the main land. These sand cliffs are beautifully coloured and stand as a landmark for those tourists who tend to get lost. Also, on Rainbow Beach are entryways to walking tracks that wind further inland. These walking tracks are lined with casaurina and eucalypt trees, only two of the many different flora greenery to be expected. The walking tracks are a great idea for high tide when the beach is flooded with choppy white water. The sand along rainbow beach is constantly changing from the effects of the elements. The water and wind work together to form ripples in the sand at one moment and smooth long planes in the next. |
